This article focuses on the emerging genre of climate fiction (cli-fi), highlighting its role in envisioning a climate-ravaged future. It draws attention to the scientific evidence of human-induced biosphere endangerment and the clashes arising from economic growth amid planetary constraints. The discussion showcases noteworthy cli-fi works, reflecting dystopian narratives and addressing intergenerational divides. Additionally, it examines the resurgence of authoritarian regimes and the challenges democratic governance faces in the modern global landscape.
